Cocky Comedy and Other Conversation Skills    Compare Expired

yeh i've seen it. it was one of the lesser programs of DYD, comments on the speakers, well most of it i just didn't find funny. but i think i already had a firm understanding of cocky comedy, so the program didn't really help me, but i still think its good to have all the programs, so i guess i'd rate it about 6/10, still a welcome edition.
"courtesy laughter please" i kinda like that line.
"thats unusual" - i like that too.

I own the Cocky Comedy CD series. It's OK overall, but whether it is worth the money is open for debate. Like most of his programs he covers a lot of basics first. If you read his e-book you won't get much there.

He also goes into some depth making sure you balance Cocky and Funny. If you lean too much on funny, you'll come across as a clown. If you're too Cocky you come across as arrogant. The happy ground is in the middle. (There I saved you $150.)

I enjoyed the guest speakers. It is good to see guys who (reportedly) have their game down, and watch their delivery, body language, and so on. For me, it helped.

Is it worth the price? Well, I didn't send it back. If you're looking to become a comedic version of Mystery, this will not get you there. However, there are some good pointers, and it is motivational.

A quick review of the Cocky Comedy DVD series

1) How new or innovative is the product, or is it just a better rehash of existing products (for examing AM is a good product, but in the end is there anything really new there?)
I am a newbie and David D's products are what got me into the game. Cocky Comedy was one of the first DVDs series I watched from him so I don't know how helpful this would be to you if you were exposed to other products or more advanced in the game but I felt this was an okay program. After reading up on the Mystery Method this is almost like negging only that cocky comedy aims to DHV while also making the girl laugh (negging does not seem too concerned over whether the girl laughs or not). The product seemed innovative enough to me.

2) What long lasting impact did it have? Did it just give you some good tips or really change your mindset?
The DVD didn't change my mind set but it gave me some good tips and techniques. 26 had some cool tips, although, depending on your personality some of it will seem inconguent. I didn't find Will to be all that helpful. He said some funny things but did not do much in the way of technique. Craig was cool. He did and said some funny things.Sean had a great speech, the best on the DVD to me, but I felt it was out of place since it focused mostly on inner game and very little on comedy techniques. The last speaker (I don't remember his name) was the best one as far as it relates to cocky comedy.
My biggest disappointment is that the product did not do much in the way of teaching people how to form their own jokes (aside from the last speaker). They gave funny lines to give in various situations you may find yourself in but this did not teach you how to be funny. For that area all they did was recommend books.

3) How applicable is it outside the community? Did this product help with your everyday life?

This product makes you funny and builds a sense of humor which definitely helps in your everyday life. Cocky comedy does work very well but I'm not sure if it is necessary to buy this program. Like I said earlier, this program is okay, it is really good if you are a total newbie but if you have more experience then you will probably think this is a total waste of time and money. If you read the chapter on cocky comedy in Attraction Isn't A Choice and practice writing funny negs then you probably don't need this.

I first read The Game, n learned that game could be taught and learned. I first read MM (which as you all know is mostly about technique). Then Cocky Comedy found its way on my cd player. LOTS of his stuff is repeated from one program to the next, but there’s a lot meat in there too. I am a lil bias; too, because of the instant success I had with his material. I am a fan of sampling many different styles and approaches to the game.
