The Bad
1) There shall be some time during the day lectures for us to practice before going to the field. We all have the lines in our head, but when we need it they just doesn't come out. We should have to time to practice with our fellow friends. This would help us to get used to opening set and we can help to correct the wrong body language of others at the same time learn from other's mistake. 2) There shall be more than two nights of training in the field. In the book The Game it started off with 4 days of training. Why I said that is because on the first night is just to get the feel, the second night is get warm up and if there is a third night we can get into the game better. Since the last day is a Sunday, it is still ok to have another night of field training. 3) If there some culture different, it shall be highlighted earlier. Such as to have a formal shoes to enter the clubs. 4) Maybe there should be a short session where the coach can help to advice the guys on their dress sense. I believe we are open to different opinions and try out new stuff. Those fashion guys advices to us might not be applicable to us when we want to do peacocking. 5) Since we have some time before sarging, maybe it would be a good idea that we can try a bit of the game outside the club instead. To get warm up. Or maybe a bit of the daygame.
The day lesson helped to fill our brain with loads of new information and some information that we may not heard of. Such as compliance test TV test, good but it do take some guts and knowing when to do it (during A3). But more than often I find that I'm overloaded with information on what to do in the evening. For a start, I find that I'm almost going into the set with the openers with the words (Word by word) that we are taught.

For the first night, we were brought to a small club for a start. Within minutes the floor was open more than once. I still remember a blonde who is at least a 9 was opened up more than 6 times. Can hear that she said not again with the same opener. Found her in the second club where the same problem still persists. In that club I was introduced to a pivot (a lady friend) who will help me to open set and even to the extend to isolate my obstacles. This is the place where I really got push by my coach and pivots to start picking up chicks and getting over my anxiety. After a few warm up sets it got me warm up for the next club that we going.

Seeing that most of the guys are opening sets on the same floor, I told myself that I have to be different and find myself a new group to practice. I went to the other end of the club and found two ladies sited there. With nothing to lose I started practicing with my openers again. Right after I said that I wanted their opinion on something, they stop me by informing me that they are either attached or married. My immediate response was Hey relax, I just want a opinion from you. Nothing much. It helps to get past their shit test, they are opened and we started talking. The conversation was good, they seem to ask me more question so I don't even need to think that much. While engaging in the conversation, my coach Gurmit (G) came in to wing me. He came in to instill a high value of me to my set by saying that I was a popular guy in some other places. That did make me more attractive to the ladies that I'm talking to although they maybe attached. My coach demonstrated the importance and how to be the wingman.

I find that some of the guys got really into condition and manage to hook sets and bound them to the VIP sits (Which we were not told of). Understand that Discovery hook some stripper that day and got kind of tired for his lecture the next day (hahaha.). But there is another group of students still struggling trying to open up sets like me. Maybe it would be good if some coach could be around to help those lost sheep.

On the second night, I have slight more comfortable in opening sets by gathering the good feelings from the good sets that I open on the first night.

Soon after we arrive we were told to practice what we had learned. Mystery came to talk me the group of guys that I'm in telling us what is proximity. If the chicks were standing closed to her, it meant that they are interested and want to be opened. He pointed out to everyone on the floor saying that everyone here are social robots, there is nothing to fear of. We shall give love to the floor.

For some reason, the chicks don't understand my accent and that something that I don't experience when I was studying in South Yorkshire. That is why I choose to go UK for the bootcamp, thinking that I wouldn't have any communication problem. Maybe it is because of the music. This limiting believes did hold me back that night to do approach again.

Luckily, another pivot Elisabeth was there to help me to get over this limiting believes. She kind of drags me to start opening set again. We went into this group of young cute chicks, but they have problem hearing me or it's my accent. Elisabeth helps me to explain and got them into conversation mode, but was told by her that I took my target's hand too fast which makes her uncomfortable. We left the set shortly. We tried a few set before going into the VIP room.

Just before we got into the room, some chicks were being hook and brought to the room. Discovery show us how the one minute kiss close was done. It was really a eye opener, make us believe that it works if we have the guts to do that.

Seeing that I'm not having the game, Discovery push Jenny (The chick he show us the one minute kiss close) to me and say that we are into this game that both us shall go out and bring back as many chicks as we can within a time frame. She just happens to be from another city with her friends. We round up her friends within minutes and bring them to the room. They were 7 and the 8s in the room, but I just couldn't open them. But the Mystery and the rest of the coaches have no problem in opening them up. This is something that I have to work on. There we took quite a number of photos too with the chicks. (Discovery, if you reading this could you sent me the photos that you took that day?)

I tried a number of kino techniques that I learn that afternoon on Jenny. Just didn't dare to do the kiss close. She was comfort with me; it was a pity that I lost her when I was talking to someone else. If not I could have bounce her to somewhere else and bring her to my hotel room.

There was another two set that I went into with the same opener. After a while I just run out of things to say, at the moment Love Drop just came by to wing me. We talk a bit and he helps me with my set and bounces them to the VIP room. In the room another student came to wing me, but by mistake he took my target. Anyway we out there to practice, so no big deal. My mind really went blank and I have to think of something to talk to the chick that is with me. Then I spin her and bounce her just outside of the VIP room for a short chat (mini date), when I did that her friend tried to stop us but knowing that we are not going far she doesn't mind. As I was about to do the kiss close by telling her a story about animal kingdom then pull her hair for the kiss. That was the moment her friend (Obstacle) came in to pull her away to the washroom as my wing had ejected from the set and left her feeling bored. That was the moment that I understand the importance of the duty of wingman. Although not having a lot to say, I did some kino stuff and she is showing IOI that allows me to go further. But it'a pity that my obstacle isn't being entertained so that I can hook up my set.

This is the final night out and I had the chance to see Mystery in action. He holds eye contacts with the chicks in the club even if they are with another guy and they would give him their eye contact to the extend of turning her head. People looked at him like the rock star. I remember Mystery actually open up a couple and open up his arm and went for the guy instead. The of course didn't hug the guy, but the ice was broke and we were laughing. Like Mystery said, those couples are bored as no guys/gals would approach so we shall give love to them as well. It's not about hooking up with someone else chicks, but to have a normal conversation (To built up social proof as well).

Mystery doesn't really have to use the pick up line that we are using. He just goes around saying he's really full with the lobster that he had for lunch/dinner and conversation just flows naturally from there.

I was lucky to see some of the magic tricks that he does in the field. He makes a drinking straw disappear and can tie a fur around his neck and break free. This really gets the chicks in the field intrigued. That's something that I want to learn as well.

Watching Mystery on video talking about pick up only and seeing him in action is two separate things to me. Seeing is believing. It's worth every single cent to watch the Master in action and pick up some ticks from him.

I attended the Manchester bootcamp on the saturday daytime seminar and also on the extra daygame seminar session on the sunday and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I didn't go out in the evenings as it suited my budget for now to go for the theory side of things, but some of stories told the next day were great. I found Discovery to be a very inspiring teacher and showed many great examples of how to put venusian methods to practise aided with the help of his wing-women who attended the seminars for her feedback and suggestions too.

Saturday was about going into the fine details of the mystery method, including specific openers, examples of full interaction from opening to comfort, examples of role-play and cold reading. And how to actual deliver these with the best impact for attraction. He helped us think about how to write our own interesting stories and gambits for future interactions. Gave great advice on how to make adjustments to your game after each time you go out helping you take things to the next level. He was great at demonstrating the textbook mystery openers, as well as new ones he has saved for the seminar students. So much so I would forget that he was teaching and get absorbed into whatever story he was conveying with his great delivery! So many things were covered that note taking is certainly recommended

Sunday was the extra day-game session which was fascinating, regarding the differences between that and night game, how to open sets in the day and good openers to use, including great locations to use and ideas on how to number close or instant date. Discovery is still developing his own fresh new openers and gambits, so he demonstrated some of his favourite latest ones he's been using in the field as well as some great ideas for crossing that day-game boundary and making contact with someone random that I definitely wouldn't have thought up myself but potentially powerful once you are taught.

In the couple of weeks since the bootcamp I have already been putting into practise many of the (as cheesy as it sounds but its true) life-changing ideas that I have gone away with as well as making lots more day-game approaches even on the train journey to and from work!

So a big thanks to Discovery for his great work and I see exciting times ahead for myself working on my personal development in the game.

It started with A call from Derby,he was great on the phone and filled me in.It is real easy to come up with reasons not to follow thru with something like this, time, money whatever. But I loooked at it like this,I have made time in my life and spent money for things that had no real positive long term benefit for me,this was different, this was A gift to myself.I thank Derby,Mo,Colgate,Discovery and the man himself Mystery, I was taught something from each of them, and was left with the feeling of being apart of A grand brotherhood. Thank You

I'd like to share this quote,it was given to me on A postcard by A girl after A day two at Boc Tower Gardens here in Florida.

It's official- Moxie and Metro are the*2 coolest guys in the world! (with special mention to my two partners in crime DnP and Dr. Cheese). Bootcamp isn't called Bootcamp for no reason. It is a gruelling 3 days of physical, mental and emotional conditioning that is probably one of the hardest things i've ever had to do. I had to face my fears head on in the 'in feild' portion of the weekend (4 hours Friday night, and 4 hours on Saturday night) with my instructors pushing me into dozens of sets, and scenarios which I would have once not thought possible. Seeing the boys in action in some advanced technique, Metro with the ability to lead any girl,*anywhere, anytime,*like some kind of jedi mind trick,*and a highlight of*Moxie handling with absolute ease*and precision,*a 6 guy amog, to sweep 2 ladies off their feet was fucking amazing. In the day sessions, breakdowns of the m3 model, with greater explanations and examples of each and every process, added a new dimension to my learning. We created scenarios of many situations, with a real hands on approach, so to speak, and ran through real world/real time possibilities which gave a greater understanding than just the reading of books. The correct use of body language and vocal tonality was made clear through these drills and demonstrations, which were done over and over till we got it right. Moxie and Metro went beyond the call of duty in many ways with their attention to detail and personalised*training to each student, I was very comfortable with these instructers, and put my full trust in their hands. Their passion,*Honesty, and dedication was if their hearts were on their sleeves. Although I still have much to learn through experience and continued self development, bootcamp was a nesessary part of my training, and Moxie and Metro were the right teachers for me. In choosing my instructors, I could have taken a bootcamp with Sherrif, and i'm sure that would have been just great too, both Sheriff and Moxie both had great reveiws for their bootcamps, but I wanted to train with an Australian guy, because after all, Australia is where I live, Australia is where I sarge! Anyone who decides to take a Moxie bootcamp because of my reveiw, let Moxie know this, because I want him to know that I am very thankful for what he has taught me, and that I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about self improvement.

Hey guys. I'm not new to the game but I am certainly new to havin a clue on how to do it right. I have given myself the name of Fantastico only cause its the name I took for myself for high school spanish. It has nothing to do with delusions of grandure in the game..... yet. In hopes of propeling me to that end I signed up for and took a boot camp recently in D.C. with Discovery and love drop. I have been asked to review my experience there and so here it is:

Class room instruction:
We here in America are forced to attend 12 years of high school and many of us who are not brave enough to buck the system early then subject our selves to another 4-8 years of torture in college. After that there are team meetings seminars etc. add nausium. So.... we all know when we have people in front of us who know how to teach. In D.C. that was certainly the case. Every hour was packed with very useful information, delivered in an entertaining fasion by men who were able to answer questions and clarify material on the fly. My pen never stopped moving and now I have a note book full of amazing material that I review often.

Out in the field:
Approaching a woman you are attracted to under any circumstance is a thrilling experience but the is something special about doing it when you have 10-30 class mates watching you and your teachers are evaluating your every move. I loved it! The instructors were Amazing. I was in a two set with love drop when he leaned in to my ear so they couldn't hear and said "Talk, talk" Classic!!! So I did. I ended up number closing a hot blond whe kept puting in new chewing gum and blowing on my face asking me if it was workin. " I can't tell a little closer baby".....
At the bar at another place I was hitting some road blocks with a 9 when discovery put his phone in front of my face which simply read "Lean back" I continued with my approach using the body positioning techniques he taught in class and number closed again.
I had numerous fun approaches that I would not have made if it were not for the prodings of the Instructors who were very engaged and helpful to all of my fellow students. I had a great time.

Post class success:
The proof is in the pudding. After returning home from my D.C. boot camp I have aquired a 9.2 friend with beifits that I atribute to what I have learned about the "love bubble" and "gettin a Life". I have closed on a stripper friend of whom I was previously unsuccessful using hard flash game that I learned in class. I have also closed a day game pick up on a 26 year old that was walking her dog down my street. Felt like a porn star on that one . I give all the credit to these recent successes and my thanks to Love Drop, Discovery and the team that made the D.C. boot camp possible.

I would like to say that by attending and participating in this bootcamp has had quite a shift in my life. It's been a week since the bootcamp and Ive seen some major changes.

I'll first startoff with the bootcamp. Moxie is an exceptional instructor. The friday day session moxie makes sure that everyone has got down the basics. Now when we practiced our approach operners at the nite venue I understood that this game is about frame control and UNREACTIVENESS!
The sets that i opened and we'rent very successful, were the ones I had an emotional reaction to. When I wasn't phased by what I did or said sets just blew open... Moxie and metro were there to give me feedback on every detail! When I would go blank (which happens a bit, all this new information and matreial and going out of your comfort zone) moxie and metro were there to tell me exactly what to do, again and again and again...
I've never opened so many sets in one nite ever, and as you all know it is quite a fucking exhilerating experience.

On the saturday nite I had a major, major confrontation -MYSELF! I got reactive to most of the sets. My demons were coming out! I wanted to run away and go home but moxie and metro have a No Man gets left behind policy! I want to thank you guys for that because I realised when sarging we will make any excuse we fuckin can to get out of it. By staying I had probably the best learning experince.
I observed moxie demonstrate openning a mixed set of about 6 guys and 1 girl. He goes in coming up with his operner as he just enters gets an initial lock in but then a few guys come and block him he handles the interrupts and then locks in to a more superior position were he can work on his target. All the guys were looking at him just stunned, pissed off, interested and not knowing what the fuck to do. Moxie then started kino on the target, negs, etc...routines... and she was just so into him that her partner of seven years didnt know what to do, the best that dude could come up with was "ahh are u trying too get our attention so your friend can steal our wallet?" Moxie's reply was "why would i want to steal your wallet, It's got a used condom in it that has been there for a year!" The girl was just hysterical... She was IOI'ing him like there was no tommorrow. But moxie is really a genuine guy and didn't want to fuck up a seven year relationship, so he ejected.
Now for me not running away and obsreving this, the thing that stood out the most from me was that moxie had this FLOW. A flow with his delivery, a flow with all the things he dealt with. The girl and the guys were being subcommunicated "I'm an Alpha Male" and could'nt help but, found themselves attracted to him!

I'ts been one week since the bootcamp. I've been out sarging on friday and saturday. On the friday I opened seven sets. Five got to A3. The two I didnt get to A3 was my poor positioning and lack of smiling. With the other five that I got to A3 my DHV stories we'rnt enough and I got self consious and stuck. So I reviewed the nite with my wingman who was from the bootcamp and we gave each other advice about our sticking points. My main one was going into my DHV stories and not to give off IOD after IOD, especially when the target has been giving me several IOI's one after the other.

So I worked on those on saturday nite. Sarged and found myself in the sets for more than 10 mins in each one. It's stacking material that buys you time. Multi threading. Again loads of IoI's from the taregts this time I rewarded them. My sticking point of this nite was too much time in A3, and not isolating. That's what im working on tonite.
The beauty of this is I have method now. "I'ts not about the outcome, I'ts about the process". And having fun within that process!!!

With great power comes great responsibility'
Before going to Toronto a friend of mine said: 'Hey, why are you doing that ? - isn´t everything on the internet ?'. My answer: 'Why did you went to a MBA ? Isn`t everything on the internet ?'. That`s the point. Meeting these guys made all the difference.
Talking a litle bit about myself: I had some relationships before, in fact I dated models, had long term relationships with women from TV (more than one), women with 2 college degrees (more than one), and so on. So I only take 3A girls (Smart, Pretty and Interessant). But I had two problems:

* First: I want A threesome. Opss, THE threesome.

* Second: All the women I met basically was on my social circle

... and guess what ? There was not women in my social circle who wants a threesome, at least not 3As or at least it was what I tought.
I`m from Brazil and this bootcamp was very expensive and very complicated to me. But it worth. I have a dream and will pay its price.
I always heard that what is important is not WHAT you said to a woman, but HOW you say it. Maybe it sounds pretty obvious for you, but for me it`s the first time that I really saw it. Really felt it. Really understand it.
For me, more than learning techniques, this bootcamp showed me how is the behavior of a sucessfull guy. How easy is to open a set and work it without any special "secret weapon". I had a hughe problem opening sets... and I`m working hard on it.
But on the first night I opened a set. Exactly as it should be done.... working on my autopilot... 3 second rule, right angle, started with the guy (1 guy and 2 girls... "lead the men and the women will follow you" - Mystery), isolate the girls, negged the targed, give DHVs, and FTCs (not so false, because I really want just open and go out to stay with Neo, my field instructor that day).
And you know what ? It just worked wonderfull ! ! ! - I just walked around and then saw the girl just on my side... first trying to talk to another guy... trying to create some jealousy (how cute....) and then she started to talk with my friend... with that "Oh, you here, what a coincidence !".
I walked around again, and she followed me again.
At least, I was taking another "sightseeing" and she came to me and asked to stay with her friends at her table... well, I saw Neo, Matador and Mystery in action, so it was time for some rest.
Bytheway seh gave me her telefone number, and from her friend also, you know 'just for shure' that I will be able to contact her.
I NEVER tought it could be possible. At least not for me.
On the second day, I tried to open a set, not on the autopilot but "consciously"... I made everything wrong... So I take my Brazil shirt and my hat and just walked around see the guys working the sets... the gurus and the students... see the PUA engines working.... And you know what ? Even this way it worked... I was opened, more than once, and one time for a so hot blonde girl wanting to see my hat... I just tought myself "I`m dreaming..." - and obvoulsy I also tought: "Hey this peacock theory really works... my friends will never say that my hat is stupid anymore !!!"
And that`s what the bootcamps and all the Mystery material done to me.... Something is different... a lot of small things... I`m just doing better with women now. Women is just opening me. I go out and see girls coming near to me, waiting to be opened. Doing things to say: "hey, we are here, open us". Sometime I speak or dance with a girl and as I abandon the set I just saw then following me... wanting more.
I just remember that stupid frase from the old lady from spiderman: "With great power comes great responsibility"
I`m scared and happy from what is happening to me.
About the instructors: Mystery opened every set he saws. The man is a "open set machine". Matador pushes hard, he wants results and is very agressive on the field ("we don`t take prisioners" policy) and Neo is very attentious.

That was a great bootcamp.

In some sense I wish I had taken it a few months later because these guys were literally so good that I didn't really have a cognitive model at the time toapprecitae what they were doing in the field, even though they had just spent the previous five hours explaining evreything to me in great detail. It was like part of me understood it, and the other part of my brain was just going "HOLY SHI*!" the entire time. I remember I was watching JDog sarge the two coat check girls and I had to hold my jaw to keep it from hitting the ground. Awesome.

I wish I had taken even more advantage of the field time by getting more feedback from the coaches, but overall a great investment, and a great time.

Coaching/ Bootcamps Information

Instructor(s) for Coaching:
  • Matador (Stan Tayi)
  • Mystery (Erik von Markovik)
Date Program Took Place:
August 03, 2007
Seminar: Okay, so the web page has this list of all the different things that the bootcamp was going to cover..well, despite my doubts of them being able to do so, they did, in fact, cover every single one of those points! And not just by briefly mentioning it, but rather in such specificity that it was astonishing! Each of the instructors gave us a very detailed, in-depth understanding of the theory that the method itself is based on, plus they supplied us with a ton practical knowledge as well as canned material, to the point that I STILL recall things that were mentioned or discussed, a full week later! I'm still working on trying to internalize everything that we were taught and calibrate things to my own personality. I liked that the format of the Seminar included some interactive parts, whether in the form of certain drills or the asking of questions [personal and otherwise] so that we don't end up just scribbling down a bunch of information that doesn't make sense to us when we look back at them a few weeks later; instead, it forced us to take the knowledge we had and apply it to reason things out and make more sense to us in our own minds. I feel that if we hadn't been so cramped for time, it would have been nice to run through some more of the exercises and activities that were mentioned by Mystery and Matador in the Seminar in order to help us internalize the theory as well as develop a little of our own practical material. Even during the scheduled breaks [which I feel we actually took less of than we were supposed to, because the instructors would lose track of time, which to me was yet another example of their tremendous dedication to their training as well as to the students], the instructors would take the time to answer questions, ranging from all kinds of topics from clarifications to community drama to random topics like music or travel stories [they are normal guys, after all!] and even some pretty outrageous sexcapades [with a lot of the outrageous part coming from Matador, like when he pulled a girl and fucked her in an alley behind 7-11 haha]. Even more dedication and passion on the instructors part was their willingness to stay past the scheduled times, even when they know we would be cutting things close, simply to ascertain that all the students comprehended all of the concepts that had been covered [since there was a LOT of information to take in, which they knew themselves and kept reassuringly conveying to us]. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish we could have started earlier in the day or that there were 30 hours in a day or something, because it always felt as though we were running short on time and ended up having to go almost directly from the Seminar to the venue with just enough time to eat and/or shower in between, and I personally would have preferred some time to let my brain recover from the overload as well as to allow all the shit to sink in.

In-Field: For the first night, all of the students were excited to get out into the venue and watch the things we'd learned that day in the Seminar be put into effect by the biggest names in pickup. The main objective for this night was to observe the instructors properly running through sets [their verbal delivery, voice tonality, and most importantly their body language!] and then by the end of the night, to be opening and creating attraction in as many of our own sets as possible, and even push the sets as far as we could until we were literally forced out of them. Unfortunately, the venue itself [the bar inside the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel] was a little weak [both students and instructors agreed] due to the low number of targets as well as the kind of cramped space of the area itself; however, I think it actually worked out better in the long-run for us because we were all able to watch the instructors without seeming to be leering or anything, plus we weren't really affected by negative social proof [i.e. a bunch of dudes standing around without many girls] because there weren't too many girls to begin with. The lack of targets also caused us to overcome sets with some pretty serious bitch-shields and just plow through, regardless of the reactions [and thus experiencing reaction independence 1st-hand] since the same girls were being approached by various guys as well as students throughout the night. I think once the students who did do their own sets got into their first couple of sets, it was much easier to start approaching with a more cool and confident attitude, almost trying to see just how badly we could really get blown out and then realizing that things don't ever really go that badly.

The second night venue showed just how much we'd learned, both the theoretical side in the Seminar as well as the real-life application from being In-Field from the night before. It was good because there was no worry of a bad reaction from a set when opening because the previous night's experience gave us all a we've all been through the worst of it the night before, how could it be any worse?” kind of attitude: there were plenty of really hot girls around, we were in the VIP section in the club, we knew that our biggest fears of what could go wrong weren't anywhere near the reality, etc, and it made sets much easier [and much more fun!] to run. The objective for this night was to open, create attraction, and move into comfort [with bounces, time-bridges, and isolation involved], and again push the sets as far as they'd go, ideally closing them one way or another. When comparing our results to this objective, I think that every single one of us had incredible growths in our skill-set as well as overall confidence in approaching and handling sets. The only complaint I'd have about this is that I wish we'd covered some more information in terms of how to perform the different closes in a little more detail so that we could apply them to our sets [if not now, then for later].

Honestly, the In-Field session was nearly flawless! The only real criticism I have about it is I would've like having a bit stronger/longer debriefing segment “ I think it would've been a really good idea to do it with like personalized advice, based on what each of the instructors had witnessed from us.

One thing I must say is that the In-Field portion was just as helpful as I could've imagined, and I went into it with high expectations. Most of the time, it seemed like there was always an instructor around, watching me in action [because that was something I was worried about, with 12 students and only a handful of instructors] and able to give me feedback either during or after the set. Having these top-notch instructors with you in the venues helps make it possible to eliminate sticking points and to calibrate as you go, as with me. In other words, it basically raises the level of your game to new heights almost immediately. The other thing that served as yet another example of the whole above and beyond attitude that appears to be intertwined with the entire Venusian Arts way of operating was that even though the In-Field portion was supposed to end at 2 am, these guys kept opening and running sets late into the night [I think I got back at about 4 am both nights], and it wasn't for themselves: I witnessed Mystery and Matador open tons of sets, many of which they could've easily bounced with, but instead they would eject or time-bridge so that they could come back and discuss it with us, then move into the next one. Frankly, I can't say that I wouldn't be tempted to just run a couple of sets for myself, but these guys were totally dedicated to their students and showing us how the game is played.
