What a real eye opener.. For anyone that hasnt taken a bootcamp and wants to get good, sorry, great at the venusian arts.. do yourself a favour and attend a bootcamp.
The instructers where Moxie, Lovedrop, London Playboy and Metro. I was one of three students.. thats right three.. we where extremely lucky to be able to have great tutition and be one on one with an instructor at all times.
Moxie is a cool, down to earth guy that really loves game and could talk about it forever, Moxie is also great at making the game seem like a "game" cause thats all it is really.
Lovedrop is well Lovedrop the human encyclopedia on evolutionary psycology.. he can explain any part of social dynamics at the drop of a hat and is great with explaining bodylanguage/sub-communications.
London Playboy is very experienced in field and threw a good mix in with his thoughts of game.
Metro is also a really cool guy, I spent most of my time with Metro and was just like hanging out with an old buddy.. but a buddy that pushes you to the limit. We opened a load of sets together.

The seminar part of the camp really explained concepts in greater detail than you can read in any book/forum. With the added benefit of being able to ask questions if something didnt quite sink in. I belive I have a much better understanding of some of the theories of game including using negs alot better and future adventure projections, a great BT routine.

The workshop was awsome the guys had me opening mixed sets, amoging, isolating, locking in, I even done the twirl manouvere to lock into a set that said they didnt speak english but I #closed 5mins into set.. she spoke perfect english . I learned alot of what my sticking points where and how to blast through them.

Massive credit to all the instructors, thanks again.. I had an awsome time.
Ill probably review where im at in a years time and think about doing some one on one's.

I was unable to attend the in-field coaching with the crew, but ideas definitely clicked in my head during the seminar. You'll have a hard time learning how to execute a stack with good tonality, expression, and body language from a book. These things are very important, so if you have trouble with these, the bootcamp can help you. Mystery and Discovery went over lots of cool ideas about opening and ways to work a set.

Mystery is an amazing guy to listen to, and all of the coaches were very helpful. They can help you with nearly any question you have in store for them. Special thanks to Derby for reading me a little too well and recommending me some sources to help me with some inner game problems.

I had fun finally meeting these guys, and hope to eventually purchase a one-on-one with a coach. Anyone planning to attend a bootcamp is encouraged to buy the full package to get the most out of it, or at minimum a one-on-one. I promise it's a great introduction to pick-up. I don't regret the pains I had to go through to attend this event.

The bootcamp was truly great, I feel like I missed out on Thursday, meet Mystery. But it was very nice to meet him and all the coaches. Meeting Discovery was shocking, I had a couple of conversations with him on the phone about enrolling, but seeing him in real life shocked me. he was so alpha and confident!

First off, I've got to say I had an amazing weekend in Las Vegas with my wing, Mode. The energy of this amazing weekend was also greatly influenced by none other than Hawaii. Who, not only was a great teacher, but also just a great guy to hang with.

As our instructor, Hawaii broke everything down into smaller bite size pieces so that things were easier to swallow when we started to notice our sticking points. Not to say that Mode and I are gurus, but we've both had our fair share of field experience and exposure to literature on the subject of pickup. What really helped open my eyes was when Hawaii helped not only see us see our fail points but also how to remedy them in a snap. It was great working with Hawaii because it made me realize how far I've already come and that I actually have a lot of great qualities and natural game that just aren't normally apparent to me.

The lecture portion gave me a nice stack of notebook pages full of material to use whenever I need something to fall back on. I also learned a lot in regards to body language and how I present myself.

This brings us to the in-field portion. After opening some demo sets, Hawaii let us loose in the field on our own. He definitely helped lower my approach anxiety by putting me on the spot and opening set after set after set. Still looking back, I didn't flow enough and open enough sets, but that's just my personal opinion. According to him both Mode and I controlled things very well. I feel my energy and game have improved tremendously since the boot camp, and I feel like I have a new outlook on improving my game. Thanks Hawaii!

This was my first bootcamp and seminar ever but I was already a little familiar with the game since I read a little bit of the Mystery Method and Style's book. The seminar was very insightful and the practical exercises were really helpful. Friday was alot of fun in field. I agree that Brandon is awesome, really knows his shit and really broke down the approach. I opened tons of sets and nearly all of them hooked. I got my first hand experience as a wing that night when I occupied the obstacle for Rockstar. We moved to the two girls to the VIP lounge and had a good time.

The second night was the icing to the cake. We went out with Kosmo to the club and had a blast there as well. I walked around there like I owned the club and the people BELIEVED it! I isolated this one girl that literally pulled me onto the dance floor cuz of my social proof in the venue.

Everything was going great until when I sat down and I forgot my material. I did the banter and I think I might have qualified too early. Didn't kiss close or number close that night, but I learned a lot and had a great time while doing it.

And the kudos for the SF seminar continue....I was seminar only, didn't go in field (next time I won't miss it!) but the guys rocked both days. I'm a little older than the average attendee (40-ish) but took my game up several notches. I'm more focused on day game than clubbing, and using my newly honed skills,. last night I kiss-closed a married 8 in the parking lot outside a restaurant where I cold-opened her in a 2 set. My game isn't polished yet, but just flipping attraction switches was enough to mesmerize this beauty. It's gonna be a wild summer in SF!

My impressions of the Chicago Bootcamp in 2009 was the excitment and information provided by each of the instructors. This was my first bootcamp and it will certainly won't be my last. The structure of the seminars is an overview of the mystery method and I was fortunate to go in-field with the instructors to find my stickying points, such as the 3 second rule, stacking forward, and having fun. They made feel comfortable with going to a club/social setting to open a set to make conversation and recognize the interest level of the set; to either stack forward material or walk-away. The most important principle from this bootcamp is to smile and have fun.

I have read 2 out of the 3 books, The Game and The Mystery Method and based on Lovedrop's enthusiasm I plan on purchasing Revelation.

I've never heard of Discovery before to be honest. I took Friday off to have a 3 day Bootcamp. My plan is to concentrate for a weekend and get this under my belt. VA postponed bootcamp for a week (it's good as I was down with a cold that weekend anyway) One week later it starts on Friday

All in all, I just got what I expected from this regional bootcamp. If there were more people taking it, and Discovery could have had more junior instructors, that could have been very very good, but, I'm just happy to have this under my belt.

Finally
Thanks Discovery for your energy, passion, and enthusiasm for the Game and teaching what you have managed to learn in a short period of time. I can recommend this experience to anyone who wants to take the next giant step in their game. Yes, its expensive for most people but it is worth it.

As I sit here two days since attending the Sydney bootcamp, I still feel a buzzing sensation in the centre of my chest. It is a sensation that is not unpleasant. It is also a sensation that makes me feel like I could explode, like the moment when your team scores in the last seconds of a game turning certain defeat into a famous victory.

WHY do I feel this sensation?

Because I get it. I finally get it.

After four years of learning the concepts I finally got to see it in action, realising that:

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR SEEING HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED FIRST HAND.

The how to approach training is only a small part of it. Entering into the club with Mystery behind me commenting in my ear as we went along made me realise just how sensitive a room can be to your actions and why a positive mindset is so important. Through his training, I started to see things differenty; 3-D schematics were being drawn into my head as I became aware of the new information that I had been unconsciously ignoring in social settings.

Mystery and Discovery are fantastic teachers and remarkably easy to relate to. Their energy levels, delivery, and infield instruction motivate and inspire.

Instructor(s) for Coaching:
Matador (Stan Tayi)
Date Program Took Place:
August 10, 2007
Classroom:

First off, Hawaii has been limiting his Vegas boot camps to just three students. So with the small number of students, Hawaii was able to tailor our lecture portion each day to our individual knowledge levels. In fact, this started a few days before the boot camp with a call from Hawaii. During the call, he gets a feel for your knowledge and skill level and plans the entire boot camp accordingly. This was really helpful as we spent more time learning and practicing material that was specific to our individual needs. In fact, I don't think we spent any time going over concepts or material we already knew. I took pages of notes and got lots of new material to try out in the field.

Field:

Day 1 was at a local night club on the strip. We thought it was going to be just us and Hawaii, but to our surprise, Matador joined us also. Since this was demo night, the first thing we did was watch Hawaii open a set. Hawaii approached a two set and was sitting down with them and had them laughing within thirty seconds. The target was leaning over the obstacle she was so attracted! Hawaii used the exact routines he had taught us in class and they worked perfectly. Listening to someone talk about this stuff is one thing, but to actually see it in action is incredible. After Hawaii's set, Matador went to work. Well, I don't even know how to describe that. He basically took over the entire venue. Matador adds new meaning to the words alpha and kino. On one of his sets, he had the target so attracted she left the set and asked us what was happening (to her). I don't think she had ever felt that level of attraction before. Thirty seconds later she was cleaning Matador's tonsils! Incredible thing to see. I watched him make out with five different girls that night, so this guy is definitely the real deal. After Hawaii ran another demo, he started sending us into sets. Both Hawaii and Matador were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. You definitely have to be able to take criticism, but it was always delivered in a helpful manner and there was no judgment or egos involved.

Day 2 was just us and Hawaii. Instead of another night club, Hawaii decided to have us run sets in the casino lounges. The good thing about this was it was way quieter than a night club, so we didn't have to yell to be heard or lean in to hear. Hawaii gave us instant feed back on every set. This was the most helpful thing for me and the reason I took a boot camp in the first place. Hawaii brought a video camera with him and covertly filmed us in set. That's not part of the boot camp, just something he is experimenting with. We reviewed the video on Sunday and it was incredibly helpful to actually see yourself in set.

Day 3 was at a local buffet which was more relaxing than a classroom setting. We debriefed, ate and then actually ran some more sets.

Intructors:

Hawaii: First off, Hawaii is an all around great guy. He is incredibly helpful and really takes his job seriously. I sincerely believe his motivation for teaching this stuff is to help people and ensure they succeed. During the boot camp, Hawaii went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out and make sure we were successful. He is very easy going, but is relentless in pushing you past your comfort zone to get you doing things you don't believe you can do. Hawaii has a great knowledge of the material and he presented it in a fun, interesting way. He followed up each presentation with insight and experiences that really helped me understand the material. I would highly recommend him for a boot camp or a one on one!

Matador: I am not going to write a lot about Matador, because I think his reputation says enough. His knowledge of the game is very, very extensive and deep. When he talks about game theory, it seems almost spiritual. Watching his style of game is incredible. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it. He is at a level way above anyone else I have ever seen. If you ever get a chance to take a boot camp with him, do it!

Overall Impression:

The boot camp was definitely worth the expense. There is no better way to learn than taking a boot camp. The instructors were great and incredibly helpful. The most insightful thing for me was watching both Matador and Hawaii open sets. Both of them were using the same method and material but with entirely different styles. Matador was over the top, guns blazing alpha guy, while Hawaii was low key and under the radar. It showed me that any type of guy can make this work with a little dedication and practice.
Thanks to Venusian Arts for the experience!
