Why I think David D. is the best

This my review for David D.'s "Mastery Program", adapted. See below for "Double Your Dating" section.

THE FOUNDATION

Okay, maybe "best" isn't quite the right word. To me it's the bedrock on which "technique-heavy" stuff must sit.

What he teaches is congruent with Mystery, Savoy, etc., but addresses core fundamentals that, to me, MUST be learned before the Mystery Method or Magic Bullets will work to begin with.

Now, this may NOT be true of ALL people.

If you're already a confident, SOCIABLE person, who has success in other areas of your life but is only experiencing problems when faced with a woman, or who has certain success dating already but want to IMPROVE your game, The Mystery Method or Magic Bullets, may in fact be all you need.

But if you're someone like me, who's good having conversations with women but has other issues (overly sensitive; SO nice to women they disregard you for reasons you find baffling, but don't want to become a jerk), DeAngelo is where you should start. It will also help areas of your life NOT related to women.

It's that deep.

SOBRIETY AND RELATIONSHIPS

After a breakup from a 4-year relationship, and being sober for 9 years, I found I'd lost the "bad boy" energy that used to bring me success with women. My program of sobriety stresses service and lack of resentment, which have served me very well in having a wonderful, productive life, but REALLY hurt my ability to interact with women.

I desperately needed a way to redraw my boundaries with people (women especially, obviously) in a way that was true to myself, true to my ideals, and yet didn't leave me hopelessly wussed-out.

I started with books by Logan Edwards (The A Game), which sounded GREAT on paper, but somehow didn't get me "feeling" the concepts, just thinking, "oh yeah, this is how I SHOULD feel."

Moved on to The Mystery Method, but I don't like memorizing routines, although it did give me more important information on evolutionary psychology, how value differential worked, etc. etc. Very good stuff. (Magic Bullets, which I've just started, is also quite, quite good.)

Got the Mystery "Revelation" DVD / CD set, which gave me a bunch more attitude tips and helped reinforce many of the concept in The Mystery Method.

Yet, I STILL found myself placating, being overly nice, speaking too fast "in field," and BOMBING with women.

DOUBLE YOUR DATING REVIEW

For the value, this can't be beat.

I thought "Double Your Dating" was such a vague / lame title, I put off buying this until after I'd read The Mystery Method, seen Revelation, etc.

I'm SO, SO happy I finally got this, because all the techniques in the world couldn't help me without the "core beliefs" down.

As soon as I read this, I breathed a BIG sigh of relief. It was like, "YES, FINALLY I understand." Not what to THINK, but what to FEEL. It's hard to describe.

I can't speak any more highly about this product. It's the piece of the of the puzzle I was desperately needing, and I already feel the difference. THANK YOU David D., you are a good man.

SUMMARY

The lower editor reviews here do poor service to this product, but I suspect it's because they already KNOW these core concepts.

If you DON'T have these concepts ingrained, in my experience the other techniques will be of limited value, or take much longer to implement.

It's one thing to give a man fishing tips but leave him in a shallow pond; it's quite another to lead a man to an ocean of INNER abundance and then say: "Now fish."

One more time, David D., if you ever read this: THANK YOU!

It was Excellent!

Just finished the Double Your Dating ebook. It was excellent! DD's stuff is an excellent supplement to the VAH, especially if you are in the early stages of your game. I've read these two books, plus The Game.
The Game is just a super fun ready that if you comb through, you can take away a ton of great stuff. VAH is like a manual for the MM. David D's book is more common sense info that reinforces in my head all the points that Mystery makes. MM is more of a system and David D is more of an attitude adjustment thing. Taking them together, I'm feeling light years ahead in tems of getting this thing "handled".

I Owe my Progress to David D's Books

David D's Double Your Dating and the other books that come with it have really helped me.

I had been out of the workforce for a couple of years due to a serious accident right before my graduation. The accident also cost me my childhood dream career and forcing me back to school again on a part-time basis. I became very self concious about my situation and stopped trying to date.

Then, last year, as I was making some physical progress, came to accept the situation with my injuries and was able to work part-time, I decided to pick up David D's Double your Dating (I had just seen the Pick Up artist, but couldn't afford Magic Bullet) only to have my father die which set me back on some of the inner game advances that I had made.

About the time my father died, I read David D's book, but I thought he was full of bull about not needing money. Then, I saw first hand someone without a job get and keep a hot looking woman without needing to take her out on expensive dates, etc. And, I started to believe.

A short time later, I started applying the C&F stuff on one of the female students for practice. She is lots of fun. Nice personality. Nice face. The body not so much, imo (however, she dates musicians and lawyers so go figure). She started coming around a lot and getting very flirtacious and touchey.

I took time to work on myself and my situation.

With school starting back up, I started applying the C&F with some of the women at both of my jobs.

Over the past few weeks, I have had:
- an attractive 20 year old student invite me to a party and, most recently, promising me a plate of Tamales after I started teasing her. She's a little young for me, but the practice is good.

- a 26 year old hot African American co-worker, who eats the C&F and can't keep her hands off me. She walked behind me the other day while I was talking to a supervisor and dragged her finger lightly along my shoulders, she always tells me I am so nice until I bust on her at which point she'll tell me I am either mean or a hellion and hits me playfully (well, she catches herself and stops before making contact).

Today, we went to lunch. I let her pay for herself (which would not have happened before reading David D's book and these boards) . She lost track of time and I realized she was going to be late getting back to work.

As we walked out, I did a little compliance test. When she asked, what I was doing, I told her it was a "trust test" and explained how she was letting my hand lead hers, because she trusted me. She liked it and was impressed.

Then, I said goodybe and turned away to leave. She grabbed me and pulled me back into a tight embrace.

She confessed that she can't wait until Monday to see me at work.

- the first student (the one that was getting flirtacious and touchey), whom I had not seen in 3 months, returned on Thursday to tell me her divorce was going through and hinting that she wants to go out.

- As I left the soon to be divorcee in the lab, I met a hot fillipino lady. I held the door open and I made comment when she thanked me (I don't recall what it was). She turned, stopped, and doubled back to talk to me. She gave me her name and told me the deptartment where I can find her on Tuesday. I should have done the email routine to get her number, but I was in a hurry and know where to find her.

Admittedly, I still have a long way to go. However I am already farther that I was this time a year ago. And, I owe my progress to David D's books and, to a lesser extent, both the Pick Up Artist and the Magic Bullet previews for changing my outlook.

This book changed my life

I was a total failure with women. I remember how miserable my love life used to be. How much frustration, emotional instability and neediness I used to suffered.

Then David D appeared.

It didn't teach me any routine, any gambit, or any strategic system of gaming.

Rather, it gave me the core beliefs required for everything else.

I have enjoyed success thanks to many other products, but this one is, and will always remain as the one that made the difference.

David DeAngelo, Thanks for helping me become a man.

A classic

The Good Simple, easy to understand information that when applied will do what the title of the book suggests.
The Bad This came out quite a few years ago and alot of the info is not as groundbreaking as it was back then.
This is one of the first things I read upon finding the seduction community. Just by reading David DeAngelo's free e-mails and this book my success with women immediately improved. There is nothing complicated in here, and after reading it you think to yourself 'this is so obvious, why didn't I figure this out sooner?'

Double Your Dating sets you on the path to being a natural with women. It doesn't focus on all the technical details and over-complicated formulas of some dating gurus, it gets down to the basics. It helps to give you the right mindest and outlook on your interactions with women and clues you in as to what really causes attraction.

I went from being incredibly nervous around women to being able to flirt with ease after I adopted the principles in this book. Another benefit of the book was that I started having a lot more fun when talking to women, which made everything flow that much more smoothly.

Definitely worth a read.

My introduction to this stuff

The Good It is very easy to understand, and A LOT of information
The Bad Nothing bad about it
This was my introduction to this whole dating advice world, and it's a really good book.

If I had started with Mystery Method I'm not sure I would have continued but this one was just the right balance of GREAT advice that makes you go OH MY GOD but at the same time not too extreme for a newbie to accept. Kind of like what the review said.

I bought a few David De Angelo products after and they were good also, but for the price this is really the best. It's the foundation of everything David talks about in other products also, and also the same principles most other guru talk about. If you read this you'll be 80% done already.

Actually if you don't want to become a "pick up artist", you just want to get a girlfriend a be a better dude with women, this is almost all you need. I know because I bought this for my best friend for his birthday 2 years ago and it changed his life. He doesn't cold approach or anything but he is much better with the girls he meets at work, social circles, etc.

DYD is Just Awesome

David Deangelo is really a fenomenally good writer...DYD is just awesome; start with it and read it again when you are further down the process; everything you didn't understand before, you will understand now.

Definitely a recommender! David D rocks!!!

Very Good

David Deangelo's e-book is very good, especially for the $20. He has a good balance of theory and inner game, but is a little light on the outer game/ techniques, but well worth the money.

It Totally Changed the Way I Think and Behave.

DD got me going and it totally changed the way I think and behave.

Furthermore for me, before being exposed to his materials I was 100% an AFC and it turned me around.

I've listened to his CDs quite a bit and enjoyed them . And his book is good.

But I do think his materials overall are more of a starting point, since they mainly focus on CF while making reference to other things like, "go where the kind of girls you'd like to meet are". In my opinion, it doesn't get as specific as the Mystery Method, which is more step-by-step and gives a deeper understanding of male/female dynamics.

I've found that moving on to The Game, Mystery Method, and The Pickup Artist (watch it on VH1.com and takes notes) is a great natural progression; they all play well together so keep them in your bag of tricks.

I Loved The Book

I loved the book. However after studying MM I found the peacocking theories quite different to DD`s style advice (black jeans, black jacket and Calvin Klein t-shirts he recomments)

Definately Worth Reading.

My advice is similar to what most everyone else is saying. It was the first book I read, it's what got me into the community. It has a lot of information, definately worth reading.
But it's not nearly as effective as the Mystery Method, in my opinion. David DeAngelo basically gives you a broad set of rules to follow, some tips and maybe even a couple short routines to use, but he has little structure. The Mystery Method gives you an entire structure to use, breaks the entire pick-up into a science.
The other thing, and this is completely just my personal views, but after reading the Mystery Method and the Game, I don't believe being cocky and funny, one of DD mains points, is as effective as he does, especially when your in comfort. Mystery even says cut back the negs when in comfort, something I doubt DD would agree with.

It is What Got Me Into the Game

the ebook was the first thing that i ever read abotu seduction and is what got me into the game
i found it informative and great for building upon
it really got the ball rollin inmy case
not only did it have great ideas for techniques and dates it also came with 3 additional e books that wnet into greater depth on things discussed in the main one
bridges - talked about moving from one step to the next (date to house to bed)
sexual secrets - talked about techinques to warm her up build comfort and moved onto techniques for between the sheets
Lover and provider - (havent read it in a bit) i think it covered some of the psycology surrounding attraction and seduction, and why they are attracted to certain types on men
all in all i found the materials beneficial to my game

Good Intro to the community

The Good Breaks down a lot of the misconceptions that guys getting into the game have about women. Shows how to generate attraction in women, and stop being a wuss.
The Bad Focuses a lot on attraction, but doesn't talk much about rapport building.

A Person will Benefit From it Alot.

I remembering buying David's e-book about 2 years ago and I must say I was clueless of what he was talking about. But as soon as I started applying his methods and reading the books her recommended reading, everything started to become clear to me. His e-book is a definitely good for someone who is a beginner. A Person will benefit from it alot. Holla back

Good for Beginners

His DYD book is good for beginners so they can get the necessary initial paradigm shift to be successful with women.

However, he's a marketer. Don't fall into the trap of buying all his products because most of them are unnecessary rehashed material. Trust me on this.

Useful as a Complement for MM

I founded Double your dating really useful as a complement for MM for its general advice. A lot of it is just general knowledge in the community but it will be a paradigm change for you if you are new. Apart from this I will never sarge with this DyD info alone but it is really good for keeping girls attracted once you are in a relationship.

It's not as Systematic as MM

I'm about half-way through reading "Double Your Dating", and I have to say I'm enjoying it a lot. It's not as systematic as Mystery Method

, it teaches you not to overthink everything. Be yourself, don't change who you are to conform to someone elses desires, keep approaching and you'll find someone who's going to be attracted.

DYD is a Good Intro

David D's DYD is a good intro if you have been stuck in AFC land for a long time. It is at least 6 years old and has since been eclipsed by the current books and ebooks on PU.
