Eric Disco started learning about women and the 'pick up artist' art after reading "The Game" by Neil Strauss when it was published in 2005.

He quickly began working and coaching himself, first with the company Brad P. Inc., then with Pick Up 101 (who rebranded later to Art of Attraction).

At Pick Up 101 he became the lead coach before deciding to jump ship and start his own more focused coaching business. Eric had become aware through his coaching experience that most guys had the hardest time overcoming 'approaching women' because of 'approach anxiety'. He decided that if he wanted to bring the most value to the dating advice industry, he should specialize in the area. Many of his ideas and approaches to helping men overcome approach anxiety conflict with advice given by other dating coaches in the industry.
