AM is somewhat entertaining if you can get your hands on a copy but if you paid full price you'll kick yourself for giving up two mortgage payments for purchasing it.
I think this is overpriced, especially for what it comes with, I do admit some parts of it are pretty good, lovedrop's inner game stuff good. Live in-field footage was um sub par at best, idk if they just had an offnight or what but just wasn't too impressive. They do go over some material, other things that I have not heard of before.
I don't get why they picked that one guy to demo a bunch of tactics, he looks like a big nerd, and has hairy forearms too (anyone else notice that?), and hes just a little awkward, maybe down the road he will be better but not so sure...
Should have priced this maybe at $ 1000. I admit that Im probably pretty stupid for buying this, but thats about all my thoughts on it. Nothing in it really wowed me though, which I thought would be more what this was going to do, but then thats what you get when you buy into crappy marketing.
Use this before BC and you will Get a Ton More Experience.
I completed the entire Mind of Mystery (MoM) program yesterday and thought I would share with everyone what I thought of it. I wanted to keep this review separate from all the talk regarding Mike Long’s marketing methods and focus on the product itself. However, I did want to briefly touch upon some of the comments from the other thread though.
First in regards to the price of $2500, this program is definitely worth it and with the $1000 certificate that you can use towards a bootcamp I felt like I got tremendous value. MoM consists of 21 DVDs that are an average of 40 minutes each and 18 audio cds (189 tracks) plus the 355 page transcript of the audio cds. In fact, I would recommend that people considering attending a bootcamp buy this program first. I found it useful to pause and rewind while I was observing the different techniques, body language and trying to write down the routines. I actually have a feeling you get more information in this program than they can give you in a 2-3 day bootcamp. The only advantage to the bootcamp is that you get the instructors to critique you but I would rather be more advanced and have them elevate my game after I have the basics then explaining to me really simple stuff.
I’ve purchased many self development and marketing programs from experts and the quality of this is on-par with those (i.e. Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Chet Holmes, etc.). I understand a lot of people are pissed that the program is so expensive but some of the flames just seem to DLV. If there is an area of your life you want to improve it is better to invest in a program (even if it means eating ramen noodles for awhile) that will change your life than staying in the same status quo. Plus there are always ways to make more money - any serious PUA can take the social skills they learn and kill it in a sales job to make six figures. That is a thread for another day though. In my opinion for everything you get the $2500 is a fair price. To be honest, I could actually see them selling it for more.
Now back to the actual MoM program. First the negative. Minor, but the DVDs were packaged backwards which was kind of lame. On the audio cd # 11 after the 7th track the cd is defective. The text is in the transcript book so it is not a huge deal to me but I would expect them to send replacements.
The Holy-Grail In-field DVD was just plain stupid. I didn’t like how they had the camera crews following them around, the girls they were hooking up with were not all that and I wouldn’t have made a serious play on them. Matador did isolate a very hot girl but we didn’t get to see that. Mystery kept using “Let me catch you up to speed on my friends..†way too much… and I mean in the SAME set. The footage was definitely not Mystery at his best. The stuff you see on the internet and the VH1 show are much better. They could and should have had better in-field footage to show us. (1.5 out of 5 stars for the DVD)
With that being said, I would still give the entire program 5 stars. The first 9 DVDs are the Video Brain transplant and are mostly of Matador (about 5 DVDs), Mystery (about 3 DVDs) and Lovedrop (1 DVD if I recall correctly). The video transplant is mostly about group theory and the basics. If I would rate this section individually I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. I think they could have done a better job laying out the information and making it easier to follow.
The social cybernetics DVDS (5) were excellent. Yes, they did hire models for them but actually being to see how to body rock properly, do routines, escalate kino, kiss close, manipulate your voice, etc. was priceless. There is no way to get that kind of information from just reading a book. Even though the girls were models you could tell the guys were trying to game them a bit. It seemed from the videos that Mystery did close one of them and in one of the kino escalation examples (the joint pain / pleasure one) he actually starts sucking on another one of the girl’s arm. The shot widens and his girl seems upset and immediately reaches for her lip gloss to pretty up. Very funny. This might have been in the bonus DVDs. Another thing that was reinforced is that even those these girls may have been models… they were hard wired to respond to the techniques, which is blatantly obvious by their reactions to the routines they demonstrated.
The Bonus DVDs. By far the funniest DVD was the AMOGING battle between Matador and Mystery. Mystery got blown out of the water. Matador was nailing Mystery on how he can’t even pay his water bill or balance his checkbook – probably why he needs help from other people to market / run his business . Lovedrop got a good zinger on Matador as well. While the social cybernetics DVDs focused on building comfort, kino escalation, microcalibration, body language and delivery the bonus dvds illustrated how to handle AMOGs, opening various sets, locking in, accomplishment intros, multi-threading, tons more kino / sexual escalation (i.e. the difference between attraction and buying temperature), handling interrupts and winging.
In both the social cybernetics and bonus DVDs all three main instructors share a ton of face time, so don’t worry you do see a lot of Mystery. I was able to connect all the dots I had questions about from watching the video brain transplant after watching these DVDs.
The audio cds were also awesome. Lovedrop is the best in explaining all the components of the game and their theories in a systematic way – he talks about everything in these audio cds – from evolutionary responses, how to setup your place to DHV, preselection, congruency, inner game, opening sets, amogs, group theory… literally everything. I love that they provided the transcript for it (355 pages) because on the videos alone I took 46 pages of notes.
I can’t emphasize enough how actually being able to see what they are talking about helps considerably. They go into a ton of detail about everything. And the best part is you can always refer to it in the future – that is why I’m such a huge fan of home study programs. Newbies and Intermediate PUAs will definitely see a huge value from this course. I would even recommend MoM to any advanced PUA who has sticking points or just wants to reinforce things or possibly learn something new.
Bottom line is buy this first then go to a bootcamp you will get a ton more out of your experience. 5 out of 5 stars. Hope that helped you guys.
Incredibly Useful, But Not Enough to Justify the Price.
I'm almost done with the DVDs and I can say they are incredibly useful, although not enough to justify the price.
Having never been to a live seminar, the seminar DVDs are great, and provide some strong visual content to make things sink in although I must agree with the previous posters that the audio content is where the real gold is at. I have been able to tie in more genuinely interesting conversation topics, pickup strategies, and personal development from Lovedrops audio than from any of the DVDs. Lovedrop is possibly the chillest and most sensible guy in the scene, and is not only a font of knowledge, but a real good teacher.
The live footage is real [thing] though, but fortunately thats only 1 of 20 dvds. Though, I am surprised to see the limited production capabilities of from men who have connections anywhere they want. Flash decks, or at least some fucking powerpoint! For 2gs I want a fucking textbook with diagrams and a quick study guides! This is a great course but these guys should take themselves more seriously and realize how important what they're teaching really is.
Recommended for the wealthy or the serious startup.
It was said previously...but yes the in-field footage was just embarassing to these guys. Having seen them in-person I can attest that they are ridiculously better than reflected in this example of game. Matador just clubs [women] over the head and drags them back to the cave. I went to Mystery and told him about a set I had flopped with like 5 minutes before. He was about to explain a point to me but instead cut himself off, proceeded over to the exact same set and had the girls hugging him, laughing and all over him in no time. Later that night Matador did a demo for me by literally pulling me shoulder-to-shoulder with a chick and as he would go through the model gaming her, he would literally turn to me and tell me what he was doing. Seriously, he would spit game to her, turn to me RIGHT beside her, say "compliance test" and then give her a compliance test. This chick was pretty cold but he still number-closed like it was nothing. This stuff blew my mind. So definitely nobody think that this poor example on video is anything that truly reflects how good these guys really are. I guess that's just the difference between the bootcamp and seeing it on a video. The seminar, instructional, and Lovedrop's stuff are top-notch. The "holy grail" is what brought this thing down a bit.
