A classic, still relevant
The original Double Your Dating ebook came out a few years ago and was one of the first ebook to give real, quality seduction advice to men.
Since then many more advanced dating products have been released. Compared to what you COULD learn about women and dating, this could be considered basic. Yet, this ebook is still one of the most popular “first read” for beginners. It is still being described as life-changing by many. It is also the first book that many “advanced”, experienced “pick up artists” recommend to their friends who are just getting started.
Simple language, no non-sense approach
The reason is probably its simple language and no non-sense approach. The author, David DeAngelo, explains everything in a way that any guy can relate to. All the points and theories build on each other, and the reader is taken by the hand on a journey of awakening. Bit by bit, he learns about women’s psychology and why most guys do not understand it. Common mistakes are pointed out. Counter-productive beliefs and attitudes are explained in detail. Every point makes sense and is easily acceptable and applicable by any guy, no matter how clueless.
“Acceptable” is an important word here, because many advanced products are a bit too “out there” for beginners (Paul Janka’s Beyond The Digits come to mind). Many people like (or NEED) to get into this gradually, and this is why this book is still popular today.
A great deal of the book is about psychology. From the female perspective: how women work and what women want. From the male perspective: the mindset you need and the behaviors to avoid. This is all well explained and most of the big psychological dynamics are covered.
On the practical side, the book relies mostly on the “Cocky & Funny” approach, which works but is a bit limited. On cold approaching, sustaining great conversations, and dating strategies, better products are out there, although the content presented here is still good.

It is written with the newbie’s perspective in mind, so you do not need any game or previous experience to understand it (another excellent ebook written in this perspective, but with very different content, is Vin DiCarlo's The Attraction Code – it is a good companion to this ebook for beginners).
If you are unsure about this whole seduction thing, and it seems weird or a bit creepy to you, you will feel comfortable with this, and it will definitely open your eyes to many things you did not consider before. You can then move on to more advanced products if you want to (such as Venusian Arts’ Revelation ebook or Real Social Dynamics’ Blueprint), but even with just this book you should already change your behaviors and very significantly improve your dating life.

Just finished the Double Your Dating ebook. It was excellent! DD's stuff is an excellent supplement to the VAH, especially if you are in the early stages of your game. I've read these two books, plus The Game.
The Game is just a super fun ready that if you comb through, you can take away a ton of great stuff. VAH is like a manual for the MM. David D's book is more common sense info that reinforces in my head all the points that Mystery makes. MM is more of a system and David D is more of an attitude adjustment thing. Taking them together, I'm feeling light years ahead in tems of getting this thing "handled".
David D's Double Your Dating and the other books that come with it have really helped me.
I had been out of the workforce for a couple of years due to a serious accident right before my graduation. The accident also cost me my childhood dream career and forcing me back to school again on a part-time basis. I became very self concious about my situation and stopped trying to date.
Then, last year, as I was making some physical progress, came to accept the situation with my injuries and was able to work part-time, I decided to pick up David D's Double your Dating (I had just seen the Pick Up artist, but couldn't afford Magic Bullet) only to have my father die which set me back on some of the inner game advances that I had made.
About the time my father died, I read David D's book, but I thought he was full of bull about not needing money. Then, I saw first hand someone without a job get and keep a hot looking woman without needing to take her out on expensive dates, etc. And, I started to believe.
A short time later, I started applying the C&F stuff on one of the female students for practice. She is lots of fun. Nice personality. Nice face. The body not so much, imo (however, she dates musicians and lawyers so go figure). She started coming around a lot and getting very flirtacious and touchey.
I took time to work on myself and my situation.
With school starting back up, I started applying the C&F with some of the women at both of my jobs.
Over the past few weeks, I have had:
- an attractive 20 year old student invite me to a party and, most recently, promising me a plate of Tamales after I started teasing her. She's a little young for me, but the practice is good.
- a 26 year old hot African American co-worker, who eats the C&F and can't keep her hands off me. She walked behind me the other day while I was talking to a supervisor and dragged her finger lightly along my shoulders, she always tells me I am so nice until I bust on her at which point she'll tell me I am either mean or a hellion and hits me playfully (well, she catches herself and stops before making contact).
Today, we went to lunch. I let her pay for herself (which would not have happened before reading David D's book and these boards) . She lost track of time and I realized she was going to be late getting back to work.
As we walked out, I did a little compliance test. When she asked, what I was doing, I told her it was a "trust test" and explained how she was letting my hand lead hers, because she trusted me. She liked it and was impressed.
Then, I said goodybe and turned away to leave. She grabbed me and pulled me back into a tight embrace.
She confessed that she can't wait until Monday to see me at work.
- the first student (the one that was getting flirtacious and touchey), whom I had not seen in 3 months, returned on Thursday to tell me her divorce was going through and hinting that she wants to go out.
- As I left the soon to be divorcee in the lab, I met a hot fillipino lady. I held the door open and I made comment when she thanked me (I don't recall what it was). She turned, stopped, and doubled back to talk to me. She gave me her name and told me the deptartment where I can find her on Tuesday. I should have done the email routine to get her number, but I was in a hurry and know where to find her.
Admittedly, I still have a long way to go. However I am already farther that I was this time a year ago. And, I owe my progress to David D's books and, to a lesser extent, both the Pick Up Artist and the Magic Bullet previews for changing my outlook.
I read David DeAngelo's DYD 3 times and every time I got back to it everything became even clearer.
I more than recommend reading this ebook, even if you're good with the ladies.
Read it at least once, it's an easy read…
David Deangelo is really a fenomenally good writer...DYD is just awesome; start with it and read it again when you are further down the process; everything you didn't understand before, you will understand now.

This was my introduction to this whole dating advice world, and it's a really good book.
If I had started with Mystery Method I'm not sure I would have continued but this one was just the right balance of GREAT advice that makes you go OH MY GOD but at the same time not too extreme for a newbie to accept. Kind of like what the review said.
I bought a few David De Angelo products after and they were good also, but for the price this is really the best. It's the foundation of everything David talks about in other products also, and also the same principles most other guru talk about. If you read this you'll be 80% done already.
Actually if you don't want to become a "pick up artist", you just want to get a girlfriend a be a better dude with women, this is almost all you need. I know because I bought this for my best friend for his birthday 2 years ago and it changed his life. He doesn't cold approach or anything but he is much better with the girls he meets at work, social circles, etc.
